Funding

State-funded schools in England are eligible to apply for support and funding from their local DfE English Hub. Alongside a focus on oral language development and Reading for Pleasure, English Hubs provide funding and support for schools to implement DfE-validated SSP programmes, including the core Little Wandle programme.

The funding can be used for SSP resources (including all Little Wandle decodable texts and classroom resources such as word cards) and training (including an annual membership subscription to Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised).

Hubs will use criteria provided by DfE to prioritise schools but ALL state-funded schools are eligible to apply. The funding available could be:

Alongside financial support, Hubs can also provide schools with Early Reading Audits to audit current phonics and early reading practice and ongoing support from their Literacy Specialist team. At Little Wandle, we work closely with English Hubs to provide the best possible support.
