For English Hubs
At Little Wandle we are committed to working in partnership with English Hubs and their Partner Schools to ensure we develop excellent early reading teaching. We want all children to foster a love of reading and to learn to read fluently. We are passionate about ensuring this happens in every Little Wandle school.
We support English Hubs to:
- Ensure that the teaching of early reading in their Little Wandle Partner Schools follows the programme with fidelity and consistency.
- Track progress using the heatmaps from our online assessments tracker website.
- Support Partner Schools with planning Daily Keep-up provision.
We do this by providing free:
- Fast-track email access to our training team.
- Initial onboarding webinars for Literacy Specialists.
- Membership subscription to Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised, including on-demand training modules and all ongoing CPD, once Literacy Specialists have attended our onboarding webinar.
- Termly webinars for Literacy Specialists to support with their LS days.
- Termly Partner School webinars.
- Termly Hub Lead briefings that include programme updates and advice about analysing and reporting Partner School data.
Bespoke virtual heatmap analysis
We also offer the option to buy into our heatmap analysis sessions for Hub Leads and Literacy Specialists. This involves working with one of our training facilitators to analyse pupil progress in Partner Schools. We provide support with:
- Identifying areas for development.
- Identifying coaching requirements.
- Identifying next steps for Daily Keep-up support.
- Understanding next steps and action points.
- Planning for schools that are in need of additional support.
- Phonics Screening Check preparation.
